The article that I read talked about Syrian refugees and how the U.S. is giving them aid. The aid that they are giving them currently is blankets, food, and first aid. After reading this article it made me realize how there are many things in this world that are going on that I have no idea about. I personally don't keep track just because I feel like I don't have the time. I am still unsure how important it is for me to keep up during this part of my life either. The article goes into more detail about how whether or not the U.S. should bring Syrian refugees to the U.S. and protect them from the attacks and bombings of ISIS. Some people believe that we shouldn't because it is dangerous not knowing if some of the people could potentially be apart of ISIS. Other people believe that we should protect these innocent people and bring them into the U.S. unknowing if they really are innocent or not. What I believe is that the first priority of our country is to make sure that our citizens here are safe and protected first. We shouldn't have to risk our own safety to protect the people in Syria. It's probably best that we just continuing giving them aid but to not stretch the inch to a mile by inviting them to stay in our country unknowing what they are capable of. This will potentially impact my life because my safety could be on the line. I must be alert as to what is going on in this world to make sure that I am safe.
