Hot Zone Blog #1: Ebola Survivors

Prompt #1: Erison Turay is an Ebola survivor that has had his life drastically altered by Ebola and its aftermath. What lasting effects do you think his proactive behaviors will have on his life? What about those around him? Explain your answer fully using your own reasoning and citing specific examples from the video/accompanying article.

I think that his proactive behaviors will help save many lives of those who live in Africa. He is wanting to save his life and wanting to prevent more cases of Ebola. He is helping those around him by helping lowering the amount of Ebola diagnoses. Instead of allowing other people influence how he feels about the situation. He is doing everything he can to help those around him. One way he helps out is by creating a football (soccer) team that consists of survivors vs. caregivers. This helped to bring everyone together as one and show that they survived this awful disease and that they are able to overcome anything in their lives.
