2015
was a pretty stressful year. After summer ended, life really made a turn.
Realizing it was senior year and big life decisions were headed my way for the
new year really freaked me out. The thought of saying goodbye is always sad but
thinking of a new start is refreshing. So many things changed in 2015 and it's
crazy for me to think that there will be even more in 2016. New friends, new
place to live, new school, a new way of living life. I am going to have to
learn how balance all of these things out but I am confident I will be able to do
it.
As of now, my important goal (or resolution) for 2016 is to be the best prepared I am able to for college and start off my first semester at Arkansas with a bang. I want to achieve this goal so that I am successful for when I become a nurse. Some obstacles that I am going to face is not always knowing what is going to be best and how to keep going. I will make mistakes along the way but I will need to learn from them and move on. I will be able to determine my success by the reflection of my grades at the end of my first semester. As long as I put in my best effort, my grades will hopefully reflect that. I will gain many benefits reaching my goal like: being ready for the next part of my life, having the knowledge to becoming a nurse, and even things like having new friends and having fun. I look forward to this next step and my life and seeing how much things are about to change for the good, I can't wait!

I have found that as long as I follow my head and my heart during those times of doubt, when I don't know what the best decision is- that even if it doesn't turn out the way I wanted it that at least I didn't have any regrets in how I came to that decision; that's really all we can do- is our best. Making mistakes next year will be inevitable, it is how and what you learn from them that will make the difference. Find a mentor/ adivsor early, and that helps too :)
